Princeton Apiaries

Welcome to Princeton Apiaries

We strive to provide the best honey through sustainable and organic practices. Through a series of mini apiaries throughout Princeton, we consider the environment for all the pollinators, including native and endangered bumblebees, butterflies and hummingbirds. We do not build large apiaries of 20 or more hives that could cause over grazing and deprive native species of their habitat. Instead, our In-town mini apiaries are spread out across Princeton and contain only two or three hives to share the environment with the other pollinators. Further outside of Town, on larger tracts of land with broader resources, we have several Bee Yards of up to a dozen hives, used as both breeding and honey production yards where we are working to develop a local strain of mite resistant VSH bees. Walk with us as we endeavor to raise happy free-range bees that produce the best “Very Local Honey. “
